The world sticks to the paved roads. The roads are paths paved by industry. The paths are trails widened by the marketplace. The trails are hacked by the Weird, who leave the paved road for the sake of curiosity and wonderment. Where the Weird go, the world follows.

Well, here’s an interesting turn of events. I’ve just been asked to be one of the writers for b5 Media’s Business & Blogging.

I begin on the first of November, where I’ll be writing about how businesses can effectively use blogs (and other social media) to further their goals on all fronts.

I’m really looking forward to this, as it will allow me to share some of the insights I’ve gained over the last few years helping clients dig into the constantly shifting sands of the media landscape.

And blogging is a good place to start. Because even thought Blogging is now a pretty mainstream platform, there are somethings going on out there strategy-wise that really sort of perplex me.

Like what? Well, I suppose you’ll just have to wait a week and find out…
